Atelier Riri designed and built ‘Kiyakabin’ loft style villa in 2017 on Lombok, the island located near Bali, Indonesia. “Kiyakabin represents the Sasak culture,” the architecture office explained. “Built in collaboration with local artisans, Kiyakabin wants to combine the characters of local vernacular living with a modern yet low-energy building concept.” The use of the material resources available in the area makes the villa easier to adapt and sustainable for the environment.
With the spectacular view of Bali bay, Kiyakabin consists of four compounds randomly spread around the site.
Each cabin has its own views — the cabin that is facing directly to the beach, a cabin that is oriented to the middle of the swimming pool, and a house with an extended view because is lifted from the ground.
